Family History: Luna’s parents were both unconventional, her mother was quite good at charms. When Luna was 9 years old her mother was killed while experimenting with a new spell. Luna was raised by her father, who ran the Quibbler after that. After she finished at school Luna went to work with her father at the Quibbler. However, a year after Voldemort was killed Luna’s father was murdered by a group of Death Eaters, in an attack at the Quibbler offices.

Luna actually knows the location of a colony of Crumple-Horned Snorkacks (told her her by her late father), but she is waiting until after all the fighting is finished before she'll actually go there to show the world that this mythical creature really exists. She would hate for anyone to find out and beat her to it.

She's been spending the last few months gathering information about the location of the Snorkack colony and she's back in town to save up some funds so she can finish her father's work.
